Smile cruise control owns me.

with CC on, it's about 10% better than me and my lead foot.

haha i would say the same thing but even when i do the speed limit there's always slower cars that i have to slow down for... then tractor trailers, i won't stay behind them or be anywhere near them. so i end up passing them and going faster than i ever wanted to.

i get annoyed too easily when i am on cruise because every one else is so inconsistent, i've found pacing to work better for me

That was certainly the case with my previous car ('02 Dodge Neon). It consistently returned 34+MPG @65 MPH with the cruise control set.

I haven't owned the Fit long enough to have much data, but I seem to get worse economy with cruise control on. Keep in mind that I NEVER use cruise unless I'm on a 4-lane highway (65 MPH speed limit here), and the MT Fit seems to work harder at 65 that the Neon did (maybe the aerodynamics aren't quite as good).

My cruise control is always on whenever possible. It help me relax my right leg and saves me gas.

I do too, and so years ago decided that on the highways, I get in the left lane, set my CC to 80 and never leave. If 80's not fast enough for someone, they can go the hell around me, because every time I get right for someone, I get screwed.

Over here in SoCal it's pretty hilly. Sometimes when I'm driving from SD to LA with the cruise control on I'll encounter an upward incline. The cruise control sometimes will make my car drop 2 gears in order to keep up with my set speed. I can't help but believe that at times like this the cruise control is killing my gas, so I only use it when it's flat ground. If I see a hill then I cancel and resume afterwards.
