40+ Mpg

Hi all,

i currently own a virgin taffeta white a/t sport, with now, 3500 miles...on average all city driving, i've gotten 30mpg...i recently took a road trip to Sante Fe NM from kansas...and was blown away!

Average Mpg with a fully loaded car [2 passengers + me + heavy luggage] at 70 with a/c on i got 36mpg...with an occasional 100mph run to pass slower 18 wheelers...

On the way back with lighter luggage and only myself and my fiance, we averaged 41 mpg at 75mph with the a/c on...with the occasional 100mph run to pass slower 18 wheelers...

i just thought i'd share...i'm pretty excited with the mpg on the highway...on top of reciving my fujita and t1R parts when i returned home...

That is pretty awesome! So easy on the wallet eh

I just finished a road trip last week, I kept track of two fill ups... between canmore AB & Kelowna BC (507km, or 315 miles for my US buddies) I used 28L of fuel (7.4 Gallons) ... on the way back I topped up at Kelowna again and then in Canmore again and I used 27L (7.1 Gallons) of fuel. I believe that is roughly 5.3L/Km (or 44 MPG)... and that is through the mountain pass with two people, gear and big heavy 17" tires on my car. Although I do have a Fujita intake on my car, maybe it makes a dif?

Just a disclaimer; let me know if I screwed up any of those conversions

My favorite part was when I topped up about a half tank the first time in Canmore... it was like 18$, the gas attendant was like "wow, that is light man... so light". Gas was $1.16/L there

First keep in mind you were going down hill. Second you most likely had a tail wind. When I head east I get better mileage.

I did CS to raton and back last week. AT Sport under 1k mi. no air down/AC back, 70 mph. 39.83 MPG.

I have a taf white with about 3,000 on it. Took a trip down to Memphis with it....averaged about 39 mpg! Loved it!!! Full car/ AC . Got a couple of tanks that averaged 42!

Road Trip to Upper St. Lawrence

I did about 2100 km last weekend on a trip from Toronto to the upper st. lawrence in Quebec. I averaged about 6.7L/100km while averaging about 120 km/h.

I used 28L going (West & down in elevation) and 27L coming back from the same locations... I admit I could have had a crazy tail wind, who knows with that mountain pass

I'm still waiting for my first highway trip, but I just filled up my second tank of gas and for the first two tanks, I'm averaging 33.6 MPG in roughly 50/50 mixed driving.

I figure 40 should definitely be obtainable on the highway. I'm loving this gas mileage of my Fit
