A/C problems again

a little over a year ago the condenser fan went out on our Fit. I replaced it and have had no problems until yesterday, A/C fuse blew. Investigated today and found that the fan isn't engaging, hard to spin by hand, and looks like it is loose in the shroud, motor housing wobbles and i think it rubs the back of the condenser. Disconnected the fan, new fuse and it the A/C blows cold again. I think i purchased the Dorman brand last time, got it for $60 on Parts Geek. I think I'll end up spending the extra money for better quality this time.

Anyway, now to my question, is it ok to run the A/C without the condenser fan until my replacement fan arrives?
Thanks, Justin

what year is your fit?

Is it still in hondas warranty?

Its unusual to see a fan failure. Ive never had to change a radiator or condenser fan on a honda. Or any japanese car for that matter

it'S An 07 & Way Out Of Warranty. The Motor On The Stock Fan Shorted. I Replaced It And ThiS One Failed Too. I ThinkThat Part Of The Reason Is The Tight Fit. There Is A Little Nub On The Back Of The Motor That The Oem Fan DidNt Have. It Made The Clearance Between The A/C Line Super Close. TodaY When I Checked It Was PresSing Against THe Back Of The Fan. Possibly Enough To Push It Into The condeser. The Replacement Fan Im Going To Buy This Time Looks More Like The Oem one.

How many miles are on your Fit? I have never heard of this issue on a 2007 Fit. I sure as heck have not experienced it, with mine or and Japanese car. Are you a hardcore constant A/C user?

Had the same problem with my 08 Fit. A/C fan would rub against the radiator and eventually draw too much amperage and blow a fuse. Eventually the motor would come out of the shroud and die completely. Turns out the rear motor mount was shot and allowing the engine to push forward into the fan during braking. I installed a new motor mount and now the engine (actually it was an A/C hose) stays away from the fan. Problem solved!
