Newly installed AC cooling fan won't turn on

Hiya all! I am new to the group, but I've been lurking for a little while. I hope that I am acknowledging proper protocol. Please pardon any rookie mistakes I may make here in my first post.

I have a Honda Fit 2007 Sport 1.5L engine. I suppose I'm a novice when it comes to automotive repair, but I have been maintaining my Fit without issue on my own for a few years now.

Here's my problem. My AC cooling fan stopped working. I replaced it myself. (I've done this once before, probably 6 years ago.) However, the new fan I just installed is not working. I've checked the connection to verify it is properly installed. I did check the fuses, but I have not yet checked any associated relays to insure they are working. I will replace those too I suppose.

Any advice anyone might have? What could be the cause for the new cooling fan not working? Thanks!

Verify that old fan is dead: get fresh 9 volt alkaline battery and connect it to the fan using jumper wires with alligator clips, if fan begins rotating it still good and the problem is in power supply

Get a 12 volt test lamp
and hook it up in place of fan;
start the engine and turn a/c on if other fan stats up but lamp is off, check the ground wire of the fan. If good pull out relays and check them out
