All I have to say is that the Fit runs real nice with that setup.

what do you mean by alighn the arms? do you put the arms closer to the intake side or farther away from the intake side?

Here is more on the indexing of spark plugs. I dont know if it really works I just did it to see if it did.

I do know that that IK20s helped smooth the engine out compared to what it was.

I did read up that the iridium's are supposed to come gaped so I probably got the wrong IK20 from advance auto for another car. I did gap them and was careful to not chip the tip.

I'll wait til highboost comes out. Seems like you guys are pulling a Gran Turismo with this kit lol by the time it comes out I should be able to afford it + the plugs + gauges/pod + injector upgrade + Spoon catback + T1R test pipe + T1R header. Christ I need to put away more money per month. I plan to do all this by the end of the year. I <3 you Kraftwerks lol

I checked out the link on indexing and found it to be a good read.... If my math is correct, there is a possible power gain at the drive wheels of 4 H.P. give or take for unknown variables and a fuel mileage improvement as well.... In the article the guy just cleaned and squared the edges of his spark plugs and didn't even install new ones.. That is something that I have done a lot of in the days of points and capacitor ignitions, especially on British cars and bikes with Lucas electrics, air cooled VWs and 2 strokes... I fouled some IK20s and guess that I need to see if they will clean up enough to try to do this trick with.

Did you gap your IK20's when you got them? I am now wondering if i should have left them at .35.....

Well i don't have photos to show how i did but if my relatively poor english don't cause problems, it should be easy to explain... I did put the plugs in the socket and marked the position of the ground electrode with liquid paper on my ratchet extention so i could put them in more or less the same position! In my case, i did install the plugs so the electrode would face the head (the plug has an angle in the combustion chamber) so the open gap would face the piston and be sure the electrode would not interfere with the ignition process! I don't have proofs it made a genuine difference but it's making me feel better!!

The MINI Cooper S engine was actually designed by the same team responsible for the Neon SRT-4. It would seem this team is as competent as they are modest. Though only rated at 163 hp at the crank, our MINI cranks out 166 hp at the wheels.

So my car started doing the same old song and dance. While I idle at lights the car will some times sputter and stall out. I pulled the plugs out and this is what they looked like.

Is this sign of running rich or lean? I had the IK22's for only a month and maybe 2,000 miles, what the hell is going on with my car.

Got any clearer, close up pics of the plugs MNFit? Gotta say, I'm experiencing the sputter and near stall out as well.

I would take this figure with a grain of salt, unless there was a comparison dyno run with fresh stock plugs. Just changing to fresh plugs can make a difference in engine performance.

My car sometimes (quite randomly) will dip down to 500 rpm or so when I come to a stop and idle, then go back up to 650-750... I can't get this to happen consistently and it's a little disconcerting to hear the engine sputter all of a sudden after I get to a stop. Is this what you guys are mentioning?
