Lightbulb Joe's Picture Thread - K powered Fit -

Figured I would update my status on my FIT - She is running Great - I DeTuned her for Daily driving and Fuel economy.
Suspension is getting an overhaul by ProgressAuto I lowered the car 1" so she sits alot more closer to the ground and so far have not had any issues with aligenment and premature tire ware (except for full throttle pulls)

Engine currently has 13k on it mostly highway being from Seattle to LA, 4 times now (and 2 time attacks, 1 import battle, and 1 super lap battle Track events) My plans are to Remove the Eton Charger and replace it with a Kraftwerk's Race kit and custom intercooler with Tial BOV.

Transmission LSD is due for an overhaul with the ammount of punishment I put on this car on a daily basis and track events, the LSD is losing some grip, but thats ok its easy fix.

Tuning has been great , easy to do with Hondata Kpro engine management. I have been able to address any issues with the engine with Kpro - only thing that has come up was poor fuel mileage do to a conector melting.

Tires I have gone threw 3 sets now , ( 2 sets ) falken azenis rt-615, goodyear fierce currently on car now. I prefer the RT-615s but would rather be on Potenza S-03 Pole Position.

Interior is still stock for my Daughter to transport her anywhere I need to go holding up good with the damage from Dog, and family. and Screaming friends when I take them for a, " Hey let me see what your FIT can do"

so enough talk here are some pics.

Home made intake, I used an RSX type S CAI and cut the bend off it. I would like to get something made that has the correct inlet dia, this one is a little to small.

I went to Pacific Raceways today. to run the 1/4 mile.

It was very very long ass wait time to just Run one run. we got their around 11am, and didn't get to run street tire class until 1:30pm. by that time I was sunburn and extremely bored and just wanted to go home.

So I pull Around the water box and line up, watch the guy give me the signal to burn out, so I do a 2 or 3 sec burn out and go past the staging lights a little like 1/2 car.. embarrassed I put it into reverse and get to staging lights.

needless to say people were laughing at me in the stands.

So next to me a 2010 TSX with comp tech supercharger pushing 9 lbs boost. I didn't pay it any attention just thought to my self Crap all i get is one run , lets get this over with so I can go home.

I have Never Done professional drag racing at all, I only know what i know from just street racing, and learning by watching the other cars go as well. I have a new respect for the pro drivers because Drag racing is actually harder then i thought it was going to be. Never underestimate the dam tree, and by all means learning the track / feelings of how sticky for grip it is are very hard for me with this car because 1 run.

Anyways, I launched at like 3k rpm and lit up 1st gear though redline - spinning wheels.
shifted into 2nd gear and roasted the tires a little more, untill they hooked around 6k rpm then finally snapped me into the back of seat like I was driving a new car. I said to my self wtf nice traction all of a sudden, so redlining 2nd, shiffted - then 3rd shiftted again, into 4th and then it was over.

I ran a 13.2 @ 108. New track / never dragged raced before with the k motor, and 17" Advans with good year fearce crap tires LOL..

I was in the right lane.

My friends say I could get into the 12s very easy with 1 actually doing a few passes to get a better hole shot, and not spining 1 and 2nd gears. also if I had drag radials ? I could shave alot of time as well.

I did not build this car for Drag - its a time attack / super lap battle car so I'm glad to see it did ok, but I dont think Im going to go back to the strip anytime soon.

My L15 Stock ran a 17.01 and with a swap ran 13.2 very possibly into the 12/s.

to be honest, I only drove on the stock drums for about 1 week. and then handed the car over to hasport for 1 year. I did auto cross the stock car and took it to the track once too in that week.

YouTube - FIT auto cross

here s the video

but I don't remember after one year not driving to make a solid decision. I will have to let a few local FIT drivers drive it and let everyone know.

Awesome, he did a great job. I havn't had any issuses with the wirring untill I drove home from AZ. the trip was going ok untill the car started to get Whoreable gas miliage. like 120 mins to a tank, I was like WTF. so i pop my laptop open and the A/F was stuck at 10.7 so I turned off the primary 02 sensor and drove home. still 120 miles per tank, so i get home and rest. next day start trouble shooting and the clip that plugs the o2 sensor melted, causing a short. and then blew out a fuse, thank god it it the fues becuase the Ecu would have been fired. other then this , and I think the harness was just a little lose and was hitting the header thats why it melted.

so heres some pics on how i fixed it.

So i cut the plug off took a new one and solderd a different one back on. then wraped the harness in heat barrier wrap.

the seonsor on the upper left is the one from the drive it should look like the one on the right, thats how much carbon build up happened on the trip.
so I have since retuned it up here in the PNW and shes running fine and im allmost sure I blew all that carbon out lol.

i didnt see the thread before it got deleted, but w/e. Im glad you have to resort to once again a childish act. Just because i had backing to the points i made and that you couldnt respond to. Please have another snappy comeback or picture to this comment while totally ignoring the fact that you dont have a response to what i post
