Fit at the track

Been awhile since I was on FF. Never thought I would use my Fit other than as my beater/DD. Though I did take it to an autox when i first got it back in 2006 after putting only 500 miles on it. I'm organizing another track day at Thunderhill this year and instead of taking the S2K, I want to take the Fit. I've started upgrading the suspension and tires. I know it could use some more power but I don't want to get the Kraftwerks SC until it's CARB legal. Is there anything else I can do to the car? I've been looking over all the old threads trying to get as much info as I can. The Fit is a fun car to drive around town. I'm sure it'll be more fun around the track.

Did you change your pads also? I was thinking of going with Hawk pads.

Like I mentioned in some other threads, I'm using Ferodo DS2500 & I would recommend u that. I really love how they perform on the track & on the street.

Will u organize more event at Thunderhill next year? If u do will there be any instructor on site to guide me around for a session or two?

I'll look into the Ferodo thanks for the advice. The track event at Thunderhill is usually between 25 - 30 cars made up of friends, coworkers, friends of friends, etc. No instructors but some of the experienced drivers will help the new drivers. It's really fun and laid back. Pretty much only 2 groups, beginners and everyone else. What usually happens is that the beginners seem to get the hang of it pretty quickly by the afternoon and then we just open the track to everyone. We've been doing this for the last 2 years (this is will be our 3rd) so we can enjoy our cars and just have fun without having to go to one of the bigger track days.

I require to take a school on my first event going to Pacific Raceway in WA. Do I have to do the same thing at Thunderhill?

What's the cost of the event? And which club/school is host of the event?
