Making Miata wheels fit the GK?
I'm a new honda owner, after having chevrolet and mazda sports cars since i turned 18. Its nice and cheap, stick shift and dead simple, but with almost 20,000 miles my fit has already eaten its set of firestones and is actually making quite a bit of road noise. Since i have the LX, i have the ugly steel wheels and would like to fit some miata wheels i already own instead.
The question is that i wonder if its difficult to resize the center "bore" of the wheel without doing it wrong and making the whole thing make noise. Should i fit some kind of rubber to it? Would this make my speedometer not accurate?
Here is a photo of what i had in mind. I hope the GK looks good on them. I'm going to have to paint them anyway, so what sort of color do you guys think would look good with yellow?

I've been considering the same thing. The Miata aftermarket rivals the Mustang market!
I'm always checking my local Craig's List for Miata wheels.
I found this website that has great options (and prices) that could work for our cars.

1st, 2nd and current generation run 4X100. The 3rd generation ran 5X114.3 or 4X4.5" The issue that an earlier poster eluded to is that Miata have a 54.1 hub bore compared to Honda's 56.1mm hub bore. So the wheels would need to be put on a lathe to enlarge the hole for Honda or other fitments.

14x6 miata tires/rims, $80 for the set, about 1.5hrs working the inner hubs to fit.
For the DIYers: will need a cutoff tool, buy a bunch of cutoff discs (break off the discs to fit within the hub area, the disc wheel will become circular as you use), slowly grind off the inner hub material, check for fitment, go to the next wheel. Honda people usually want an arm & leg for old oem wheels, usually Miata guys cant wait to get rid of their wheels for cheap.
