Rear strut bushing orientation?

Did not pay much attention when removing my struts today also they were loose so not sure if they were installed properly in the first place. But if you look at my photos here which way is the bushing supposed to go. Skinnier part facing up or facing down? I had skinnier side down for top and bottom bushing is this correct?

Skinnier part up?

Skinnier part down?

If you hadnt figured it out by now...that kinda sucks no one gave you answer - the wide part goes down or faces the sheet metal of the car - so on the bottom bushing, the wide part would face up.

This is what logically I thought it would go but it came off differently so had my 2nd guessing. Thank you very much for that! Next question will it be okay to re-use the self locking nut?
