How difficult is it to replace Evaporator on 2008 Fit

I'm replacing everything AC on my Fit. Compressor, condenser, etc. seem like usual difficulty. According to the service manual, the entire dash is supposed to come out to replace the evaporator. Has anyone ever replace theirs and what say you about difficulty.

Thanks
Charles

You do not need to remove the dash.

just the glovebox, a plastic shield, some ducts and the blower fan unit. it took me a while to find all the fasteners but it’s not difficult.

i did it when I did an “ac delete” and removed all the components including the evap core and expansion valve.

I followed this procedure (for Euro/UK cars, but it was accurate for my US model too) -

A/C Evaporator Core Replacement

and this is for the blower motor removal http://www.hondafitjazz.com/manual/A...000KDAT30.HTML
