AC component oils amounts

Does anyone know where I can find out how much Ac oil I should add to my new condenser? I have an 09 fit. The compressor went bad so I am replacing the condenser w/ drier as well. The compressor comes pre oiled already.

According to my Service manual for 2009-2010 Fit the condenser oil capacity is 5/6 FL-oz or 25 ml including dryer. Hope this helps.

What compressor are you replacing it with? OEM? I'm in need of a new compressor and trying to find suggestions.

Completed the job and everything works great! Ice cold. I would recommend that you pick up new bolts for the condenser hose connections. They don’t supply any. Also the new condenser didn’t use the threaded stud and nut the old one used for the high pressure hose connection. So you will need a bolt for that anyway. Every thing was as expected.

Did you have to flush the lines or just vacuum & recharge ? Very difficult to access the expansion valve for replacement?

Honestly I didn’t replace the expansion valve because I know my clutch failed in the compressor. When I took the compressor out I emptied the oil and inspected for contamination (metal flakes). I felt it wasn’t needed. But no flush just pulled a vacuum for 3 hr. Then recharged.
In all the years I have had a Honda I probably replaced the compressor and condenser in cars and luckily never ran into problems. If I would have found metal in the oil I would have done everything. Bottom line is it’s $20 to recharge again if I need to. I will take the chance

Thanks for the follow up. Lucky it was just a clutch failure and no metal flakes in your system. Glad things went well with your repairs.
