2008 Fit - Gauges then Nothing
2008 Fit - Gauges then Nothing
Driving home tonight at 10pm in 2008 Honda Fit (automatic transmission)... 40 miles from home... One second everything is fine, then all gauges stop functioning - No RPM, No MPG, No Gas gauge. Dash lights still work. I don't stop the car and make it home and pull into garage, turn off car. Now it wont start. I have power, lights, etc.
Is some instrument failure cancelling a circuit and preventing it from starting ? Speed Sensor? Instrument Cluster failure? Never heard of this -- new to me.
Any input from the gurus on here or links to dig through would be real helpful, as I have no idea where to start.

U0155 HONDA
Possible Causes
Faulty Gauge Control Module
Gauge Control Module harness is open or shorted
Gauge Control Module circuit poor electrical connection
Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
U0155 HONDA Description The Controller Area Network (CAN) transmits/receives pulsing signals to/from the control modules simultaneously by using two signal lines (CANH and CANL). When the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) does not receive the signals from the Gauge Control Module via the F-CAN lines for a set time, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC).
Unfortunately this is a 2008:
For the 2003–2012 Honda Accord, 2003–2011 Honda Civic, 2010–2012 Honda Crosstour, 2007–2011 CR-V, 2009–2012 Fit, and 2003–2012 Pilot, before you start troubleshooting, try resetting the battery; that often does the trick. Just disconnect the negative cable for 5 seconds, and reconnect it. If the DTC doesn’t reset, you’re done. If it does, then continue with normal troubleshooting. Keep in mind, some systems (like audio and navigation with volatile memory) will lose all stored data when you disconnect the battery. So make sure you’ve got the anti-theft codes and write down the audio presets before doing that.
