2008 Sport Speedometer issues

the speedometer has done this twice. will get stuck at say 60mph, or 80mph....is it the speed sensor or what? any help would be much appreciated

i have never had this issue. did you buy it brand new or is it used?

Speed sensor sends pulses every time it rotates. Takes its drive off the transmission's differential. No way it could be the sensor. Most likely the needle (gauge) itself.
