Thumbs up Recall Drive Shaft Available from Honda

My letter from Honda arrived today (May 2021) to have my 2007 Honda Fit Sports brought in to have the L/R drive shaft inspected and possibly replaced.
  • Is there any way to avoid the two appointment merry-go-round, First an inspection and come back later for an install?
  • Why would they not replace it? What are the odds I'll go in and they so 'nope, it looks fine.'

For some reason the dealer told me that my 2008 doesn't need the axles.

They didn't even look at it, purely based on the vin #.

Should I call a different dealer?

If you go on Honda’s website does it state you qualify for the recall?

I didn't know that was even possible.
Checked with a Honda dealer thinking that was how it was done.
I'll try to find out where this information is online.
Thank you for the tip.

Nope...as I predicted, I made the appointment with the Honda dealer, took the time off of work, and they tell me "we are not going to replace your recalled 15 year old drive shafts, they look fine.
