Unhappy New Alternator, Good Battery, still charge system light?

On my 2008 My charge system light was intermittently coming on. I tested with my OBD2 scanner and when the light was on I was getting 12.X volts and when it was off 14.X volts. I needed to get in a do my starter that would grind in cold weather... I got everything back together and now I get a consistent 14.2-14.7 volts on my charge system, but now the light stays on the whole time... I checked the battery terminals, had the battery tested, and had the charging system tested at Advance. All say the system is good. Is there some sensor that could have gone bad somewhere or something that I shorted out? I did not see anyone with a similar issue when I searched so not really sure what to look for.
Thanks!

Turned out the replacement alternator must have had something wrong as I got a replacement for the reman one and the problem is gone.
