Pcv
Commenting from my experience, the PCV valve and grommet are (a) pretty hard to access (intake manifold removal required), and (b) likely to be quite tough to remove. The grommet on mine had gone extremely hard: the valve itself broke during extraction, and it took a lot of chipping away to get the grommet out, in many pieces. It's also easy for pieces to fall inward, though there seems to be a ledge that will keep them from falling into the engine, and you can tweez or vacuum them out.
You're supposed to be able to check the PCV valve function by pinching off the PCV hose and listening for a click, though I can't hear it even with the new valve.
Good luck!

You can also get them on ebay/aliexpress for a few bucks too. I got one to repalce just in case, it's an old car that somehow uses up some oil. But yeah as screwtop says, actually replacing it seems like a pain in the ass so I haven't done it yet. I'd suggest testing it first if possible too.
