5 sets of tires in 105K miles?
dont you think you should get more than 20K on a set of tires?

Somehow the 13 year old photo looks better, in terms of actual picture quality lol

Is clearcoat just peeling off on the roof? I've seen that happen but it's extremely rare here since we don't get that much sun I suppose. Do you have many stone chips? My hood looks like the surface of the moon.

The car has been parked outside for 10 years, but the black Hondas tend to "get bald" fast.
The second photo made by flip phone, the first by Kodak Easy share camera

The 4 sets of tires lasted 118K (about 30K each) including the factory Dunlop set (32K)
I changing tires when thread depth is 3/32"

got it

still, 30K per set still seems super low to me (what kind of tires are you running?)

(my last set of tires (on a 3000+ob car) had 123,xxx miles on them when I traded the car in on my FIT, and they were still legal @ 3/32)

Least expensive I could find (Aroyo brand from American Tire Depot) 175/65-14
I do rotation every 7 k (by myself of course)
while most recent sets have more hill toe-wear due to toe out (old upper mounts sagged front springs) such wear not decreasing overall tire thread life.
Because my average cruising speed is about 45 to 55 mph and my car is used in urban (read: high property crime) area it may not be worth to invest into high end tires just to discover them been slashed for fun in the morning.
