Cat delete / O2 sensor check engine light question.
Cat delete / O2 sensor check engine light question.
My cat was rusty and had a local dude straight pipe it. Now I have cel (po141) for downstream o2 sensor/heater circuit. Can't find an exact dummy plug or simulator for this without having to add an o2 sensor in line with it.
2 questions
#1. Buy new cat and have it welded in line with straight pipe and new o2 sensor.
OR
#2. Build/Buy an o2 dummy/simulator plug.
2007 honda fit sport.
Any help is appreciated.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram to build a simulator. I know it uses a 1MOHM resistor and 1 micro farad capacitor but not how they're wired in. My existing o2 sensor was removed but the plug and wires are still there inside the car up to the rubber plug on the undercarriage. Figured the easiest and cheapest way would be to build the plug. My state doesn't require emissions so Im not putting a cat back on.
need help, so close to fixing.
Ending up welding in an o2 sensor bung and added an o2 sensor. Check engine light states cylinder #4 misfire. New plugs and coil packs. No spark from #4 coil pack plug. Has spark on #3 plug. Anyone know the wiring diagram for the coil plugs?
Older thread, but you can eliminate the CEL from a cat delete by adding an O2 sensor emulator (extension) and a 90 degree elbow. The combination of the 2 parts will permanently eliminate the CEL. I tried just an emulator and it wasn't enough. I discovered the fix on a Honda Civic owners group.
