Tire selection for 195/55R15s has been slim pickings for quite some time (Tire Rack showing a total of 20 options)... 205/50R15s were a very common alternative size though is a smaller OD tire but are also slowly dwindling down option wise as well . TR is showing 21 options currently BUT they're also mostly summer or track tires with only 3 all season options.

The only plausible option I can think of its looking into 185/60R15s which shows to have 37 tires to choose from according to TR as well as mostly all seasons with a few snow/winter tires in the mix. You'll be going down 10mm in tire width, a pinch taller than the OE Sport tire which has an outer diameter of around 23.4 inches if memory serves me right (185/60R15 is around 23.74 inch in OD).

This should be ok if you stay on the stock Sport (assuming you have them) wheels and at stock ride height, if you later switch to an aftermarket 6 inch wide wheel with an offset in the mid/high 30mm to very low 40mm then you may be susceptible to experiencing tire rub on harsh bumps or dips.

175/60 R15 195/55 R15 185/65 R15 195/60 R15 185/60 R15

"undersized tires" These smaller tire sizes match your original wheel diameter but may require new wheels due to the narrower tire width, and may impact speedometer accuracy/vehicle handling

"oversized tires" These larger tire sizes match your original wheel diameter but may require new wheels or fender modifications to prevent rubbing due to the tire height, and may impact speedometer accuracy/vehicle handling.

Great and accurate info for the GK5 and GE8... BUT not for the GD3.

They run the shorter 195/55R15 as its 15 inch option on Sport wheels.

185 sounds perfect for a GD.

Like someone else said though, you might be able to find a used tire shop and be able to spend less if money is an issue.
This. I return stuff back to Amazon all the time, and yes the tires I bought and linked to are sold by Amazon.

This also isn't my first time buying tires from Amazon. All reputable brands, second time buying these same exact tires but a different size (first time was 225/40/18 for my Lexus).

I got a nail through tread and side wall commuting to work through a traffic zone (101 in Novato) I went to see what Costco had and saw they don't carry the size anymore online. I was wondering if we were located in the same area, to find out we are in the same town. lol

I work near an AAA auto center and they have Falken tires. Hate to mix and match but they are quick and easy to deal with.

I have a Sport so it has the wider tires (195/55R-15) and the two best options appear to be Kumho Ecsta (there is an all season and a summer version) or the Hankook Ventus V2.
