Building my 2008 Fit sport -- need help :D
Alrighty! Hello everyone, I'm new to the forums and wanted to share my plans and current goals for the fit.
This car belonged to my late father who passed away a few years ago and we've owned this car since new (2008 sport with 68k miles on it). This was his daily driver to and from work since 2008. We always joked about building the car after he retired or just buying a turbo kit to mess around with for a neat car for cars and coffee, but we unfortunately never got that chance. That's where this build comes in -- I've recently come to a point in life where I realized the sentimental things and the experiences are what are important. So here we are, currently working with my tuner that tuned my supra and I'm currently selling my weekend ZL1 so that we can do this properly.
The goal:
AWD (yes I know this is going to be expensive and TONS of custom fabbed stuff -- we've got the team for it and we're going to make it happen)
K24a swap
6sp swap
Either Rotrex supercharger OR going the turbo route.
Ideally going to have anywhere from 330-350whp, AC delete, stripped rear... Goal weight of 2300lbs or near as possible!
I'll be posting updates to this build process as we get it going and parts come in, but I wanted to document as much as I can for anyone else who wants to build something like this in the future!
If anyone has done something similar to this, i'd love to pick your brain as it would help us out immensely.
Currently not much content on the Instagram regarding the FIT, but it will pick up over the next few months if you want to follow on there too! ( @thrsty__zl1 on ig )
I'm new to the Honda world, so if there's any cool recommendations for parts or anything feel free to comment or dm me.
