Have an imported GD1 Fit that I need to add a rear (illuminated) fog light switch to in order to ge the car to pass inspection and get registered in the UK.

Has anyone got any clean suggestions for type of switch that looks factory and a placement that doesn't involve carving up the dash?

I was thinking of possibly removing the little coin holder next to the mirror adjustment switch panel and seein gif I can add a switch there?

The stock fog light switch on my European Jazz is on the light stalk, it's the rigng in the middel here:



They seem to be available on ebay or maybe your local junkyard. Check if you'd need to do any wiring though, or maybe it's all there already.

 

Unfortunately the stalks are reversed on JDM cars, so that side is the wiper stalk. UK also requires a light to be displayed when the fogs are switched on, and that would be in the instrument panel on EU cars, but there wouldn't be one on the JDM car.
