My GD3 on stock suspension did rub a bit at the back over big heaves/bumps only (it was fine pretty much 99% of the time) but over time, it stopped doing that (even over the exact same areas that used to cause rubbing).

I was also on 205/50R15 tires, so that makes my setup a little bit different than yours, but I'm very happy with the wheel/tire combo I went with (even when it rubbed, it only did so under rare occasions).

You're welcome! I don't think you'll regret it - the car definitely feels more responsive on gas and brake.

Thanks! They were 15x7s.
Worth pointing out: by a sizing quirk, the 15x7s look way better than the 16x7s I put on my wife's Mazda3, as the spokes on the 15x7s aren't as convex as the 16s. The 15s have almost a deep-dish look.
The wheel/tire combo I have ends up almost flush with the fenders (maybe slight poke).

what ET are they?

yeh 205/50r15 I imagine is the perfect size for this car.

Not sure if this will help you but my setup is a bit different.

15x7 +35
205/50r15
lowering Springs
rolled rear fenders.

rubbed on bigger bumps in the rear and scrubbed the front on corners.
