What to check in a used Honda fit GD3
Model in question: 1.5 v-tec automatic with paddle shifters
I'll bring in a mechanic but I want to be sure that I know what I'm going in for. The seller said that the issue with the car is the minor dents, paint scratches and strut mount on the left side, it's shaking when it's driven uphill but it's ok when going downhill. Looking at the pictures, the car looks fire and the paint is ok. Also, the price is cheap so I'm not sure what to expect but I like restoring things so paying for repairs isn't a problem as long as I can restore it.
I'm using it for my business and car camping so I want it to be reliable.
The first Automatic Honda Fit I checked was unsuccessful, the compressor was leaking refrigerant, the power steering was bad because the steering wheel wouldn't turn smoothly, and at 1000 rpm, the car was shaking as if it was a manual that was about to stall. Other than that, it was ok but I was thinking that the price didn't justify the repairs and I was talking to the dealer, not the owner. This time I'll be talking to the owner.
What should I ask the owner? Do you have tips and what to say to the mechanic? It's my first time calling in a mechanic to check a car before buying it so I'm not sure how it goes.

Check for a stutter/hesitation under acceleration.
It's a known issue with the ignition coil packs (not hard to fix - change out the coils and the spark plugs and it should be fixed).
The brake rotors are pretty thin and easily warped - I'd recommend upgrading the brakes anyways (better pads and possibly better rotors) as I always felt the stock brakes were surprisingly weak for such a light car.
At this age, the tie rods, suspension bits etc might be tired and ready for replacement.
Maybe check for bad rust on both sides of the rear fender (roughly below the gas cap area, right where the rear bumper meets the rear wheel well).
Those are the issues that popped up on my car at one point or another.

Check for water in the spare tire compartment.
Use your phone's camera to look underneath the car behind the front wheels, look for rust/rot.
If the fender gaps dont line up with the doors, run. The bottom fender mounts are likely gone from rot.
