Rubbing/grinding noise when I turn the wheel

I am experiencing a rubbing/clicking grinding noise what ever way I turn the wheel whether the car is at a stand still or driving I am now hearing it. I’m guessing it could be the wheel bearing or the tie rods, any expert advice would be great.

If it's making a click or grind type of sound while the car is parked, I would first suspect the rack and pinion or power steering pump to have an issue.

From what you're describing, if it makes a clicking sound with the wheels at full lock, only while the car is in motion, that would likely be a CV axle.

You should check to see if there is power steering fluid, if the fluid is in good condition or if there is no fluid present.
You can try to flush or refill the power steering fluid which is relatively cheap and easy.

You can try to remove the serpentine belt from the power steering pump and see if the sound goes away. This would help to narrow down if it's the power steering pump.

With the belt removed, you can turn the wheel and see if it makes the same sound.
If it does, it's likely not to be the pump and instead it could be the rack and pinion or CV axle.
Hope that helps you.

Hi thanks for responding to my post and for the suggestions. Whether if the car is parked or running any time I turn the wheel is when the sounds happens. No sound happens if I don’t turn the wheel

In that case, definitely check the power steering pump, power steering pulley and power steering fluid and report back.
