2007 Fit Sport -reset alarm after jump start-no fob

I didn't find this exact info so I will share what I learned- Battery died due to not being used when daughter went off to college, charged battery and it started, thought it was good. Next day it wouldn't start, so hooked up the jumper cables again- and it got enough of a charge to lock itself-with my only key in the ignition! there's a reason I pay for AAA. once I had access and jumped it again, the alarm went off- lights flashing, horn alerting the neighbors that I didnt know what I was doing. Horn would stop after about 1-2 minutes, but then start again when I opened the door and remind the neighbors I was an idiot. Someone on another website gave a generic answer on how to reset a Honda alarm without a keyfob (which my daughter conveniently lost a year ago).-
Open the door then shut it- put key into door lock cylinder, lock it with the key, then unlock it with the key.

Thanks for sharing, I always forget how to disable the alarm without the remote.

If this is the only headache your daughter has given you, congrats!
