Heya joined the Fit club about a month ago, thought it would be a good door dash car got a good deal on it (2200$ 130k miles).... and ive kinda fallen in love.
my other car is a 13 built Vette (and a f150) so this thing is like the direct opposite and its great. lol. Such a fun little go kart, so much practicality and so well built. I haven't had a Japanese beater since i was in highschool. Really makes me want to turn this bucket into a baby but alias, Michigan car, its probably too far gone already.
Anyways my current problem: Oil leak.
2007 Honda Fit sport 135k miles
Ive seen the possible, leaning towards Vtec solenoid but i want to have all the bases covered before i pull it apart. any advice any other gaskets/parts to have ready? its all pooling on top of the trans. Nothing on the ground yet, leads me to think its only leaking when running/high RPM Vtech usually leaks in the front? 2 weeks ago when i bought the car this area was dirty, but dry. I did change the oil with Mobil one, maybe the thinner oil contributed to the leak? It was sitting around for a while before they sold it to me so maybe the increased use the gasket just popped.
Cant see where its coming from directly, but 99% sure its not the valve cover. I did a valve adjustment when i got it and put on a new gasket. Seems to be much lower.
so TLDR: Leak could be from vtech/oil pressure, cam sensor, cam seal. Anything else? Thoughts on just doing the solenoid gasket or any reason i should replace the whole unit?
is cam seal hard to do?
(Im very handy around cars, but new to the Fit)
Thank you! cant wait to help contribute.

I had that problem. It was the cam plug. Changed both o-rings on both cam plugs. The o-rings were hard and dry. Cheap but not so easy fix on the driver side.

Thanks, i got a cam seal on the order. Its way deep in there whatever it is so the car is going to have to be put up for a few days pulled apart.
Took me about half an hour, just work slowly, you are basically just moving stuff out of the way. Also while working there, I replaced the pcv and the thermostat. You can watch YouTube videos and see it done.
