Where's everyone at?

I just came back to the forums after being away (not that I have been around that long anyway) and noticed that Gen 1 and Gen 2 have seperate forums. The number of Gen 1's is exponentially higher than Gen 2 owners, but this section has 3 people viewing compared to 80 viewing for Gen 2 section.

My question is, WHERE'S EVERYONE AT???

Everyone is all excited about the 2009s. I was looking for 2008 forums and they seem hard to come by nowadays. Oi!

i think that since the forums got split, most gd3 folks spend thier times in the fit trix section, or in the pictures forum.

ooops i forgot, they could also be trashing the ge8. a lot of them prowl the forums there. you know, to keep the good ole' honda unity going.

i think it has a lot to do with the fact that there's a lot to be discovered and explored about the GE8. whereas the GD3 has been discussed 10 times over; anything we need to find out about the GD3 is easily accessible VIA the search button.

welcome back

**EDIT**
post was in response to the OP questioning the amount of people in the GE8 forum in relation to the GD3's

Fit Talk section is where its at..
All this dividedness, and hate is silly.
We are all Fit owners, they are both good cars, grow up and get along. No need to bash :-/
Thats my outlook.

Back to the Fit Talk section i go lol.

I know we've all talked about the 1st gen Fits a hundred times over, but I dunno. Now that the GD 01-08 is has a new generation, I'm hope that we start seeing even more tuning support now that they will be available much cheaper. I've been researching and learning all about modding and tuning, but can't find as much for my Fit as say I could a Civic or even my Corolla (since the engine in it was in alot of other Toyota's like the Celica).

... Civics have been around forever tho the fit only just came state side not to long ago give it time. I have seen quite a bit of growth in production of stuff for the fit even since I joined the site.

I know, that was the point I was making. That's why I'm glad to have a GD 01-08 as now that a second generation is out and the first gen has been around, hopefully aftermarket support will become greater. Thanks to people parting them out, selling them, warranties that have expired (like myself for example isn't playing around under the hood or swapping anything until my warranty is up. Whole reason I bought a new car). So unlike people who are ragging on the new Fits, they will in the long run make it easier for me to do things to mine.

Did I make any sense? Posts made at work tend to be fast and not very well thought out.

Makes sense

Yeah I have done some stuff to my car but don't plan on doing any engine stuff until warranty is up or getting close to being up. I did make an intake and put it in my car but ehh ohh well. I want to do the kw sc kit some day but that is quite awhile down the road.

I've only had my Fit for 2 weeks now, so I'm still learning all about Hondas and Fit care and tweaks...I was kinda bummed to see the forums split up, and even more amazed that the GE8 people think that any criticism of the new Fit amounts to "hate."

It's hard to re-ignite interest in how to wash my new Fit...All you long-timers have BTDT and talked about it ad infinitum...but it's all new to me. I guess I have to lurk with the newbies on the other forum, because they will ask all those noobster questions.

But I spin through all the forums at least once a day. Not going anywhere. When I told hubby I got FIT FRK plates, he gave me "the look," said "That better be ALL you do, I don't want it to look like white trash."

I was insulted as hell. Wait until I lower it. Ha ha on him.
