2nd Gen forum the most popular?

I wasn't sure how to post this but I found it interesting to see the amount of views on each forum. Seems the 2nd Gen forum is the most popular by a large margin. I assumed the 1st Gen would have the most viewers due to the many users owning a GD.

i dont know if this is true for 1st gen. owners in general, but i, a first gen. owner, visit the forums a lot less often now...probably about 1/3 as much.

I think its the new GE and people talking about how they like it, etc. GD has been out longer and already said most that's been said. I only browse the forums through the Home page on new postings.

Noooooooo, not true

of the almost 2 years I have been here, the 1st gen forum has only existed for a few months. (no need for a specifically 1st gen section until the 2nd generation section was created.)
Think about it. Prior to September 2008, 1st gen forum didnt even exist, everything fit fine in the General Fit Talk.

^^^ Definitely not a contest.

Maybe GD owners have gotten enough time to discuss all the issues, parts and types of modifications available for their cars. Ha... I bet they're just out there driving around and enjoying their rides without much to say anymore.

On the other hand, GE owners are still discussing how anxious we are until so and so comes out with this and that part. I mean... just look at how excited we are when another member just posts pictures of how he or she changed their Honda emblem to a different color.

By definition, all 2nd generation owners are fairly new, and have a higher level of enthusiasm and curiosity than the veteran 1st generation owners. The information exchange is very helpful. I will bet that a year from now, I won't be posting anywhere near as much, since I will not have the same load of questions to be answered.

Thats the answer, right there...

People who owns the GD3 knows pretty much about their GD3 inside out already (or at least those who visits the forum before the GE8 section is created), and I believe when the GE8 section is created, the GD3 section was reset to ZERO count as well.

Having said that, I dun mean that GD > GE or otherwise, its just that theres not much to talk about the GD anymore.

What was said above is true although another reason is that we are all awaiting the arrival of new aftermark parts as this will most likely be the first place we find them. I myself cant wait to start ordering parts and I havent even recieved my ge8 as of yet. Already have parts waiting

Common ben at a and j, kick them in the arse to get a exhaust out there that isnt huge and ugly

Ha... you're probably the best example of that. I can't imagine anything else you could do to your car... except maybe strip it down and start the whole process over again. You're car is the ultimate "showcase" GD.

Simple answer there are more GD'3 on the road, but more of us, like me, are buying Fits too. I would have bought a Fit whether it be a GD3 or GE8 at the time, the only thing that differs us is a time period. Think about it. For all of you who bought a GD8 because you wanted to buy a fit would have bought a GD3 if the GE8's weren't available for another 2 years?
I know I would.

LOL, my car is not ultimate yet... I still havent got a K20Swap + Turbo.. but then if I change the Engine, I will not be running a FIT now would I?

I still need one more upgrade to my car... and that would be "New Car Smell" Air Frangrance =\

We're having a 2009 FF meet in the GVRD area tmr, hopefully some GE8 will show up~
