Anything but a complaint directly with Honda, involving your local rep. to negotiate a solution between you and your dealer, will probably not be successful. Small claims and BBB are only interested if you have suffered a loss due to a business transaction. They probably won't see a screw hole that is generally standard procedure as a loss. Replacing the bumper would be no big deal for the dealer, but you have to get the dealer management on your side. It may take the actions of a rep, or the threat of involving him/her, to get the attention of the dealer decision maker. Your salesman is a waste of time.

No, the rep. in YOUR area who works with YOUR dealer who is refusing to fix the bolt hole. I suggest that you START with the General Manager of the dealership. If he blows the problem off, tell him that you will take it up with the Honda Rep. and then follow through with the rep. If you have not tried all options with the dealership, the factory rep. won't be interested in helping you.

So how do I get to the rep? Just ask for the number at the dealership? The dealership where I bought my car isnt local, that is part of the issue. It is about 100 miles away, at best. more like 150. The local dealership said that if they did it they would fix it. They said that I have to go to the place that I bought it from since they caused the damage.

I have given you the best advice that I could, but you are not understanding what I have told you. I give up. Good luck.

You never said how to get a hold of the rep. If you did then I have missed it.
As I have said, I went to a local dealership to fix the bumper and they said that they would only fix it if it was damage that they caused. The said that I would have to go to the original dealer to have this fixed. That is a rather far drive for me and they have not been cooperative. I do not have a friend that I can call to get the reps number either.

Anywho My dealership does not install that bolt, but yes that is where it goes. Most dealerships will do something about it if you fuss enough.
you are correct sir, i pdi'd my car myself, in fact.. i work at an acura dealer here and some techs will put that screw in the acuras but on 09 tsx's theres a hole on the bottom going upwards, i just use that one instead, just to be nice

bottom line, shouldve bought a car without the bracket or made sure no one punched a hole in the bumper

Mine has the 1 hole in it from the one screw. Bugs me when I take the plates off, but in Cali, you have to have front plates(don't have it on my accord right now, hehehe). The one lil hole bugs the shit outta me but I got the car pretty much for cost, so I can't complain. And it was the only SSM 08 Sport AT within 200miles at the time, and they did the deal in 1 hour. It was still wrapped in plastic when I bought her, but they had already put the plate frame on. So I just leave the plates on, with no frames. Looks pretty clean. I have seen much worse front plate mounts before

I am glad I work at a dealer and I work on my fit and no one else. There is a lot of shit that happens to other people. I see it all the time. If I ever get out of this industry and some car dealer starts giving me the run around look out!!! Licenced techs dont put up with that stuff. I would like to say I would have requested no front plate bracket before I sighned on the doted line though. Always look over a new car very closely before you take the keys and definitly before you drive off the lot. Once you take the car these things are your problem. Good luck, hope you have learned from your mistake.
