hatch panel

hatch panel

ive searched around for this and can't find anything, i want to take off the panel on the hatch the inside one so i can install a new license plate garnish. i know how to get the plastic clips off the problem i'm having is how to get the little plastic handle out has anyone done this ? ive already bent the 2 little clips down but it still won't come out

just pry it out with flat head screwdriver that's how I did to delete my rear wiper.

Either bend down the tabs more(because the tabs are deeper than you think) or take a screwdriver on the right side near the top to pry and another screwdriver for the right tab first then the left tab. Work it out.

Look at the edge of the panel, there should be a grab handle. Take a flat screwdriver and lift UP those 2 tabs that hold it in. It will come out. Then next to it, there is a push clip. Push the center of the clip until the clip "locks" then u can pull it out. then, start prying from the two edges that meet the panel to the glass. Just pull them straight down, it will unclip all the way around.
