Huh? I thought you were in Utah. You're saying that you're actually in Michigan?

How do you mash oil pans? My cars just as low, maybe lower.... The oil pan sits above the subframe.
My control arms and subframe is all F-worded. My pan is peachy.

BTW, the Beatrush panel is aluminum. That means youll just mangle the under panel.
You need steel.

The only thing I want to protect is my gas tank.

Beatrush underpanels are NOT meant to be used as skid plates! They will protect from minor debris, but using them as a skid plate is a BAD idea. They are built for aerodynamics, not to protect your oil pan. Aluminum isn't ideal for this application at all, you need steel or diamond plate for real protection... or blow your money on one of these and destroy it within a couple days or weeks, whenever you bottom out first after installing it.

Actually, some of us know a lowered Fit isn't the perfect car unless you belong to the 'if it don't go, paint it' club.

Out of curiosity if you install a skid plate will you have any clearance at all?

Besides my front lip and under my car, my Fit looks just like any other Fit with 40k on the clock.
Actually, better. Even my front lip looks better than Fits on springs. People just cant drive.

Just get a small plate made from steel, mount it just so the oil pan is covered. You know, just the section where the pan is visible.

Waiting for pics still.

an appropriate quote, since he's apparently gone so low he can't always get home . . .

Agreed, and I own one.

Heavy enough aluminum plate will work fine. The off-roaders use aluminum with vehicles much heavier than our little Fits.

I had an alligator pop up in front of my car at 70 MPH not long after getting it. $2000.00 damage was done not counting the AEM CAI and I had to drive home(120 miles) with all of the pieces that looked reusable thrown into the back.... If I was to drop my car I'd have to air bag it, or walk the 4/10 of a mile home.... One of the few disadvantages of living out in the woods and away from the rat race `

Seriously, the Alcan and Ice Heaves are enough to destroy just about any car. I wouldn't even own a fit if I lived in Alaska. Wouldn't even think about it. Too much $$ wasted on new windshields all the time, and alignments.
