Lowering the fit
If you want to avoid that, you'll want to keep the drop conservative. About 1.5" would be the best compromise between lowered ride height and damper life.
What springs do you recommend if I want this kind of drop? Tein S. Tech?
One inch is about it but you will see a decrease in ride comfort. Any time you put a stiffer but shorter spring in place the ride suffers.
I've gotten used to competition vehicles so I don't notice but my wife can tell immediately. The difference is just how much you - or her - can tolerate.
I suggest you see if you can find someone with a dropped Fit in your area and take a ride over some nice selected terrain.

See, I was afraid of that. I like the look of a modestly lowered Fit, but I'm not sold on if its worth it to me as a DD to go to the trouble. The Fit doesn't ride great as it is. Thanks Mahout.
Also any shop that carries tanabe or is a reseller for them can get them
Part#TNF143
whats odd is some web sites list the same part number for the 07-08 and the 09 for that spring....

yeah thats the same reason i don't want to lower much either. and to the person that sugguested riding in a lower fit, i can't b/c there is now remotley close to me with a lowered fit.
Ha ha, me either. Only other Fits I see are granny Fits, lol.
I tell you both what, when i'm in Rock Hill later this summer we can arrange a meet and test drive somewheres closer for you! How about Columbia? I'm on Skunk2s with stock struts, have been for about 9,000 miles now as a DD at 185-220 miles per day. My wife can't really tell any difference over stock, even though there is a difference. My five year old can sleep in the back seat while I go blasting down the highway no problems, if that tells you anything. And as you can see, it sits pretty damn low for springs....
Oh okay. Thanks for the info. I based my reply on Tanabe's US website - didn't see a mention of the NF210s.

I would say your drop is about right since the top of the tires are still visible, depending on tire size. If you really want to demo I suggest VIR near Danville, VA and I'll referee. Check VIR's drive schools schedule.
When that photo was taken I as still on stock Dunlops. I have since switched to Nito Neo-gens sized 205-50-15, which are just about the same height. Amelsport, the ride is not bouncy in the back compared to stock. There is more firmness there when you hit a bump, but there isn't any bounce at all. I still haven't bottomed out front or rear with the Skunk2s on...
I have the skunk 2 springs on my car on stock struts, the car is at 17k right now and I feel that the springs bounces quite a bit compare to stock. I had a passenger sit in my car not too long ago, and she hated it. For the driver, I don't really mind it but I did come off of super drift tein's on a 240sx so that might be the reason.
