unfit what is the deal with you dude, what other manufacturers are you referring to that are so much better?

most honda dealerships that i have dealt with have been really top-notch, and they would never do something like that to my car. they fixed rattles in the a-pillars with some high density microfoam strips and they had my whole top dash plastic out to find another one but all said and done they called me when they had already test driven it on the highway and had it good to go. didn't cost a cent.

it still looks brand new and they also replaced some rubber foam offsets with bigger ones...etc. they typically know what they are doing.

the funny part is, i complained about rattles in a subcompact entry-level car i paid 16k for (w/o tax) and they didn't laugh in my face. thats good service!

and i am hammered right now, drinkin' jagerbombs and playin halo 3 WOOOOO. i just saw the hangover it was AWESOME.

Definitely get the dealer to fix everythings they busted.
As far as dealer go I take it dealer by dealer. Doesn't matter what brand they sell cause some are just shady while others are really good.
The plastic clip look like it's the one at the front of the center console holding the center console in place. The bolt is most likely one of the 2 bolts that hold the radio in place.

I would be absolutely flipping out on the dealership. In good ole Las Vegas I had Honda West do a hack up job on a fried O2 sensor in my old 99 EK where they pulled the interior carpet out of the car only to replace it with a bunch of lumps and other issues. I simply told them that I was not leaving the business unitl they either fixed it or had a supervisor in corporate level on the phone. I'll be damned if it wasn't fixed in a half hour.

You deserve to get your car back in the same condition you brought it in there. No questions asked.

1. Document, document, document.

2. Open a case with Honda Canada.

3. Find another dealer.

damn dude, that really sucks. My Brother and I just replaced my radio today and managed to do none of the stuff they did.

The really strange thing is the ebrake, seriously, how the hell did they manage that.

Do you have to remove the console to get the radio out?
I need some ammo.
Can anyone explain the procedure for removing the radio?
This way I will know where the bolts go and how to remove it without prying it out of the dash with a screwdriver. And I can tell the dealer this.

You do not need to remove the center console to get to the radio. Nothing needs to be pried either, the radio console pops right out. They need to send that mechanic back to school or teach him to read a manual.

The e-brake cover breaking is actually manufacturing defect, Honda is aware of the issue...once the e-brake cover plastic gets extreme temperatures enough it just breaks one day when you are putting it up/down and it always breaks where his broke because it's a seam-line for the plastic mold...it's just a poorly designed piece. I've replaced mine 3 times before I said f*ck it and just bought the T1R blue stick leather cover. No biggie' but kind of a rudimentary part to fail on H's part.

take pictures...call honda HQ....if they wont do anything about it sue them.
as for the ebrake plastic breaking....i have feeling they took your car out on a test run and did some ebrake "testing"
for example where i bought both my fits...stockton honda "zamora auto group" is known for taking people cars out and screwing them up on test runs (even totaled a car)....it wouldnt suprise me if other dealership mechanics do this....

Maybe they dicked around in it but that would be excessive since it could have just broken in normal use, mine did a few times. The OP is in Canada so it should have broke with normal use anyway.

I can't believe the pry marks, where do they get these guys??? It comes out so easily, what a retard. Good luck, just make sure you check out your next dealer.

i wouldn't say that it pops right out.

You have to pull pretty hard just to get the clips loose.
I made a similar mistake when I was installing my new stereo. I wedged a popsicle stick in there and that damaged the original dash piece. Luckily the new dash kit replaced it.

The material is really soft. I guess it's the price we pay for having a decent feeling interior.

Good Luck.

My e-brake lip broke just like yours. Weather seems to do it in pretty quick, particularly when it's cold and the plastic gets really stiff.

Last time I took my car to the dealer, I noticed one of the guys had pulled my driver side door closed so hard that he pulled the door armrest out of its clips partially. It pops out pretty easy nowadays =[

you know, my deal wouldnt be the fact that they suck ass at their job. i've seriously gave up on people actually treating my possesions like their own. this will never happen and i dont think its worth the gamble. all those great customer service signs and shit. **** all that. i dont give a **** if mr. honda him self worked on my car.

the problem i see here, WHY THE **** DO THEY THINK THIS IS OKAY TO GIVE IT BACK TO YOU LIKE THIS? like "ummm maybe he wont notice?" see this isnt even my problem and right now if i saw the guy who did this, i could take his life and have zero guilt because of how worthless of a human ****ing being he is. what a piece of shit.

There are guides on the radio install online, check metras site. Its not hard at all and once you remove some bolts it pops out very easily. No clue why they touched your center console.

I guess I haven't broken my ebrake lip because I never use it lol.
