Dude!
Don't settle for their workmanship or the discolored parts.

How long have you been without your car?
I'd complain to them about the as well, tell them you want this resolved NOW! and that you don't intend to come back any further and that you need this fixed properly.
Is this the dealership you bought your car from?

Anyway, keep at them until they fix it correctly and to you satisfaction after they fix it properly, never ever ever return there. go to another shop or dealer, even if its a bit of a drive.

I have a slight shiny area at the top of my dash like yours also. It happened after leaving a light colored towel to cover my dash on top so it wouldn't get so hot from sitting in the sun. I only have 8000 miles on my car in two years. Happened in my first summer. The plastic on these dashes is down right fragile.

The car may go back in tomorrow as the parts are in. I am crossing my fingers on this one.

Wow. Just read this thread through. You are being incredibly patient and kind to them by not reporting this to Honda Canada. Not sure that they deserve it...

Blah.
They phoned and told me the car was ready. So they send the service shuttle to get me as I live out of town.
In 4 days they accomlished nothing. The dash now has paint chipping off right beside the top ducts. I asked if it was repainted and they told me no. I am certain they repainted the dash as the repainted side has a completely different texture compared to the drivers side. How can the finish be chipping off?
And the seats were greasy! And the radio is loose again.
I told them to keep it and fix it and clean it. And got a ride home. The service manager is back in on monday and I need to talk to him.

I concur. Great idea. But on the other hand, it may give them a reason not to exchange or deal with it. Call the district Honda office and ask to meet with a Honda rep directly. Maybe even at another Honda location instead of that one.
This pains me.

This is freaking ridiculous! I can't believe they're still screwing you on this horror story of a Honda Dealership. You've got all the ammunition you need, I don't know why you haven't called Honda Canada and/or a lawyer. I'd threaten the hell out of them, maybe even get a brand new Fit out of it. Get that whole dealership shut-down if you can. Raise hell.

I've called Honda Canada. They told me they may/would contact the dealer.
But they really didn't seem to concerned. They didn't even want to know why the dash was being replaced or even what happened.
Honda could care less. They already have my money.
The car is still at the dealer and it may be done this week. But at least I got a stinky rental car to get around in.

It doesn't matter if the whole thing was your fault (which it isn't) there is no excuse for that sort of response after that sort of butchery. If it were my car i would have the service managers testicles mounted over my fireplace before it was all said and done.

Ditto

all the service manuals for my 96 honda civic say to wrap tape and cloth around the screwdriver before you do anything with the interior plastic. they were basically too fricken lazy to do that. takes what ten minutes to wrap a screwdriver. they probably have some wrapped already and the guy was just too lazy to walk and get it.

morons

That looks a mess the have made.
Ask the dealer again to fix the mess they made.
If they dont (and this works i have told them this myself) tell them you will park your car out the front of their dealership with a large sign on it telling everyone what the did to your car and the will not fix.
Good luck

The radio needs no prying to be removed. All the idiot had to do was remove it properly.
Still being worked on today.

Didn't purchase at Honda. And the salesman promised they could get it off.
