Dealer butchered my car.....

My Fit has been trouble free except for the clock which gained about 10 minutes a month.
So I took it back to the dealer for the first time ever in over a year.
They replaced the stereo/clock. But they busted the heating controls. And the radio they put in had missing paint.
So I had to take it back. They put in another radio but they busted the plastic around the ebrake.
And here is the kicker. The butcher used a screwdriver to pry the radio out of the dash! I now have 5 or 6 big ugly hack marks to stare at.
The entire center stack is now rattly and loose. A bolt dropped out onto my feet and some of the rattling disappeared.
I took it back to the dealer and they ask "what do you want me to do?"
I want them to replace the entire dash (which is one piece)!
However, as a mechanic, I know that replacing the dash is a nightmare and that the car would never, ever, be the same.
So they said they know a furniture repair dude who can glue/mold some colored filler into the hacks on the dash. This will never last in -45 to +60C that the dash reaches. And it will fall off in a few months!
My car has 10 000km. I am so pissed.
I am tempted to ask for cash compensation.

Nice!

Yea, call Honda HQ and they will get it done. Dealership hate HQ to find out they have bad quality of service...

You took it back to the dealer because the clock gained 10 minutes per month? I have good customer stories but that takes first prize.

Yup, its my fault. Never, ever trust some ham fisted monkeys at the dealer to work on your vehicle.
As a side note, I have cheap $10 stick on clocks for my R1150GSA that only gain/lose a few minutes a year.

Did they really say "What do you want me to do?" !!?? With that damage to the dash? Really? I believe you 100% but I can't concieve of how a dealership employee could be that arrogant and stupid. It looks like someone stole your stereo, not like a dealership worked on it. Go to Honda corporate and DEMAND SATISFACTION RIGHT GODDAMN NOW. It doesn't matter if the whole thing was your fault (which it isn't) there is no excuse for that sort of response after that sort of butchery. If it were my car i would have the service managers testicles mounted over my fireplace before it was all said and done.

I used to work in a dealership and if you make a big enough deal out of it they'll replace it. They ****ed it up they'll eat the cost. I've ****ed up on worse and the dealership paid to replace it...

Goddamn, that is just so unacceptable. I have no doubt that Honda will help you get the dealer to fix it all. That's just insane!

this is why you should void your warranty as soon as possible with performance parts. then they will refuse to work on your car

OMG - I would be screaming to the top of my lungs if that happened while my ride was entrusted to the dealership for service. The pictures you posted made my stomach turn to think they had so little regards for how they did your repairs and treated your vehicle while it was in their care. I would call HQ and tell them you have picture documentation of the damage they did to your car. The worse part is if it had been an Accord or S2000 for the same repair they would've treated the car with kit gloves but because it is a Fit - no respect! I have to say it again, Lester Raines Honda in South Charleston, WV - rocks it! They give great service, respect my Fit and always treat me as if I have purchased a high end car. Heck the guys even put my JDM manifold cover on for me - and when I had the car inspected last month they tucked in my Mugen e-brake cover which had slipped out - it looks factory installed and I just noticed it had been "fixed" a few days after that.

Cat :x

Now that I have had time to think about this I will tell them this.
Fix the ebrake that you broke.
Fix the loose radio that you broke.
Fix the loose center console that you broke.
Fix the rattle behind the radio.
Find the place the "mystery" fastener belongs as well as the plastic one.

And REPLACE the entire dash.
If I had damaged the dash and went to them for help I may be able to accept a furniture repair guy touching it up. But since they hacked it they should replace it. Period.
I will assume the car will rattle like hell and that nothing will work properly ever again.
I will then trade or sell it. With 6200 miles it should sell quick.

But if they are able to complete this complex repair without incident then I will continue to drive it.

And I HATE the fact that I have to wash dusty muddy footprints off the interior door panels and clean the grease off the dash after I get it home. Can't they wipe the grease and dust off the interior before I pick it up to at least show that they give a crap?
