I've been following this thread for a while now as I've found out that my secondhand, '07 Fit Sport has massive interior water leaks. From the research I've done here and elsewhere, I've figured that the water that fills the spare tire well comes in from the welds on the rear hatch as most people point out and seems like an easy enough fix. However, I too (like some others in this thread), have wet floor pans / footwells. Here in Virginia, we just had about 2 straight days of rain and I can hear the water sloshing around... wherever it's being held.
I have neither the space, time, nor resources to tackle this front-of-the-car water leak issue myself. Mechanically the car is great and I'd love to get as many miles out of it as possible. That said, a constantly wet (and thus dirt/dust/mold happy environment) will make me not want to spend another 150K in the thing. So... where do I take it? I'm assuming a body shop would be the best bet? I fear the dealership as I've never been a fan, but this seems like such a weird, model-specific issue that the dealership may be best?
