Water inside doorwell problem

In troubleshooting why my radio headunit suddenly stopped playing I discovered the front driver's side speaker was soaked in water. Any idea how the water got inside? Is this related to the two recalls having to do with the water causing the door controls to short out? I had the first fix done but not yet the second. I would assume if there's water inside the door well, it would have to get in thru the window seals, not the big rubber gasket that surrounds the door, does this make sense? I can't see any obvious impairments in the window seal.

Go for the recall and tell them that because of the water issue your speaker also got messed up. I wonder if they'll do something about it.
