looks like a security system kill button.

 

Yes I did. Now why would there be a kill button for the security system?

 

So when they steal it back it won't alarm.. Your footwell is very dirty!

 

i always thought security systems had a back up kill switch.... i am probably wrong though.

the only way to find out is push the buttons.

 

i have a similar button on my Fit, it's part of the karr anti theft system. what does it do? i have no idea. but before the dealer could activate my key fob i had to hold down the large green button when i turned the ignition otherwise the car wouldn't start.

 

I think it's a way to toggle the theft system on and off. Especially if it was installed by the dealer because they charge you extra if you want the system on. I have a little light with a toggle switch drilled into the bottom of my dash that the dealer installed on my car.
