Its actually only partly responsible for the power increase. The ECU makes up the rest. I believe that the 09+ head is NOT directly compatible with the GD3 block, I'm certain that the intake manifolds are different. Without a stand-alone ECU/tuneable FC you probably wouldn't notice any changes at all. You would be better off spending the money on a manual trans and spending the time and effort getting that to work instead.

aparently the gains are due to the fact that on the gd3, all 16 valves only open when vtec engages otherwise its running on 8(1 intake and 1 exhaust). the ge head uses all 16 at all times. would make sense that it would boost power and low end torque. ill bet the ecu and manifold would be no big deal but if its not a direct bolt on i dont wanna bother...lol

I thought the GD3 was a twelve valver off-VTEC. As in both intake valves and only one exhaust or vice-versa until VTEC, then you get the extra valve. I'm not sure if I remembering it wrong or not....

that sounds closer to it...but still thats bogus...lol. if i can do it i wanna try...it would especially help with a forced induction setup

Congrats on the order. You'll love it. I just removed the stock battery n replaced it with the Braille 3121. Feels alot better on starts.

Got my coil overs in the mail yesterday. Installed the rear tonight beforemthe rain came. Fronts are hopefully going in tomorrow. Started the wiring for my push button start after that. Just have to figure out the ignition harness and I'll be all set.

Welcome to the wild side. If you ordered the base kit you'll be pleased but in time you'll want more.... Boost is very addictive. I have had it on my Fit over 2 years and it is still a lot of fun.

If you decide to switch out your exhaust let me know I'll take it off your hands

Hey TC I love the idea of the KWSC and there are a few ppl on here who have loved it just like you, but one thing I'm worried about in CA is the smog rules. Do you pass smog ok? Do you happen to know anyone in CA who has one besides JDMChris cuz I dont see him on too much anymore. Just wanna know about that before I even start to get my hopes up
