fml friday!!!

fml friday!!!

i woke up to a good start...

and as im swithcing lanes omw to work i run into what seemed to me like an old-school aluminum running board off an old pick up!

FUCKED my front bumper assembly up FML

That blows, but look on the brighter side. You can get a new/different front lip now.

well i went out there on my lunch and it looks like ima need a new fr bumper, fr lip, pass side fog light, and a bucket of bumper clips! i have a mugen rep grille i been meaning to paint and put on so now i guess ima have to just paint the whole fr bumper assembly. i can get a mugen front lip for $90 so its not a total wash out but fuck i didnt need the extra expense right now at all

haha well advanced auto parts happened to have 1 can of nhbp in stock! the paint is actually a little matted where i touched up but you cant tell in that picture taken via blackberry lol.

the damage was mostly isolated to the front bumper, so i took that off and removed the fogs and center plastic, expoxied a crack and a broken piece, sanded down the passenger side of the bumper and a couple other spots here and there, touched it up w/ the spray paint, and then did chicken wire mesh grille (painted black of course) behind the openings in the bumper. and finally finished it off w/ some depot garden plastic front lip action cuban enginuity at its finest HA

hahaha ill take a couple more snapshots w/ my bb when i go to lunch! thats garden perimeter plastic btw. it has a rounded edge on one side and like a wierd double lip thing on the other which i had to carefully slice off w/ a fresh razor

ok here's some more pics





i used 3m double sided tape on the whole thing and a few short self tapping washer head screws evenly placed cuz in my experince w/ doubled sided tape... it nvr holds completely. and that mesh is for concrete application on wood, i painted it black w/ the same nhbp spray i used on the bumper
