My Fit got rocked today.

So I woke up this morning and found out someone broke my quarter panel rear glass to break into my car. Didn't take much, only my coins and my GPS. Anyone know how much it will cost me to replace the glass? I was thinking of calling my local Honda dealer to see if they carry the glass so i can put it on myself. Also, one of the Auto Glass companies quote me for $300 to fix. =(. I never knew how much life sucked on a Sunday morning.

Should be able to get it fixed under 200$ with labour, My cousin's toyota pyzar window got smashed not long ago and he replaced it with labour and the same tint for 150$. Then again, that's here in Australia, but yes most companies will want to charge you around 300$ to fix, try to find a local mech shop and ask for a quote on how much it is, the price difference should be quite dramatic.

Sorry to hear that man, best bet is to order the panel from a site, and ask around for an honest mechanic who could maybe give u a deal on labor. I have a friend who works at an auto shop that tries to give me discounts on services.

Don'T you have glass coverage, I think it would cover something like that.

Thanks guys. Just got it fixed today. I went to the Honda Dealer instead, cost about $120 for the glass and paid someone $40 to have em put it on. Kinda expensive but yeah, I wanted it fixed asap.

I hope you hide your GPS when the vehicle is parked. I see too many people who leave their GPS or radar detectors applied to the windshield while their car is parked. In fact I've owned the same radar detector for over 20 years now, since I realize how easy they are to rip.

Some of these people program "Home" into the GPS and also have a garage door opener in the same car. Even if your house is locked...

Jeez now the hoodlums actually have a good reason to rip your garage door opener too.

Since you're a stickler for proper grammar, you should know that sentences end with periods.
