Genuine Honda Floor Mats... ?

Amazon.com: Honda Fit Black All Weather All Season Rubber Floor Mats - fits model years 2007 and 2008 - Complete set includes 2 front mats and 1 full width rear mat: Automotive

This Amazon store has this item listed as a Genuine Honda floor mat set, showing 2 front 1 rear mat. I haven't been able to find anything about Honda making this set, and so I can't say if the rear mat is good or bad. Anybody purchased these and know what it's all about?

No pictures, no evidence from Honda... I'm apprehensive.

I appreciate any input I can get on this one!

I got genuine Honda floor mats from the dealer at the time of purchase and I'm sorry I did. The installation involved cutting the carpeting to install anchors which didn't make me happy. Had I known that ahead of time I would have definetly bought after market somewhere else.

Mine already has the spots cut, I even have the installation parts in my glove box. I'm not sweating that part of it at this point. I got the car used with the stuff already prepped for mats.

My concern was the actual EXISTANCE of an all season mat that extends completely across the back seat.

Spots are not fully cut in a new car. Just slits in the mat where you have to cut. Installation parts come with the mat set.

I do not know of honda making one big mat for the rear.
I purchased the mats form delaler and installed myself. Set contains four mats.

Some aftermarket mats are avaliable with two front and one big rear mat.
The picture in the link for front mat shows Genuine Honda mat but may not be the same when you receive it.

Ah, I don't have the kit so I haven't looked at the instructions yet. Thanks for the heads up on the carpet info. I do have the install components for some reason though. They were in the car when I bought it.

As for the mats, I don't think they're genuine, either. I just wasn't sure if anybody else had encountered this seller and purchased this or what. Authentic or not, if they're good they're good, and vice versa.

I'll email them and find out more about it from them. If it looks all right, maybe I'll order one.

The picture on the site seems to be the Genuine All Weather Honda Floor mats, I'm just not sure if the rear is genuine or if they made any changes because I have those OEM all weather mats and the rear mats are two pieces. And yes those Honda All Weather floor mats have been around for a while.

You can also check the Weathertech all season floor mats because those are nice too.

Yeah, that's what I was seeing. The picture is the same, but the description is different. I emailed them asking if it was a typo and if not, would they send me the Honda part number or some pictures so I could verify. We'll see how that pans out.

I looked at the weathertech ones, which look FANTASTIC, but I don't know that 200 bucks is really in the cards for some floor mats... As much trouble as that will save me in Michigan winters, I feel like the Honda all-season floor mats for $83 shipped is a bit sweeter deal.

Just left the page @ Ebay and ya there is another set 59.00 w/ cheaper shipping and then there are the 60oz. GD 4 pc. carpet for 30.00 but would get trashed by a Mich. winter or 2.

Yeah, I'm really hoping to pick up something designed for the car and a bit tough. The salt/snow that I'm not going to kick off my shoes will be problematic, I think.

I know the WeatherTech is probably the best choice, but not necessarily for my budget right now. I'll probably wind up with OEM. If I can find cheap all season OEM rears I'll get those and then a set of front WeatherTechs, but time is running out. I need to make a decision ASAP.

weathertech!

I own the OEM all season mats and wish I'd sprung for the weathertechs. Honda's mats don't cover as thoroughly as the weathertechs appear to. Honda's all seasons are adequate for $80 or so but JUST adequate.

I see that a lot. But then there a few people who say the mat in the back doesn't cover enough under the front seat.

Guess I'll have to make a decision here soon.

Yeah, those fronts look GREAT. I may have to spring for the front/rear combo... We'll see if I can't make some extra cash somewhere.

Hmmm... My Base GD3 came with the carpet already cut and the clips already installed. I think it might have been something the dealers were doing in the hopes that they'd sell mats at/near the time of purchase.

I bought a cheap floor runner and put it under the all weather mats in the rear to cover the hump in the floor.

the oem all weathers seem to be a PITA to install. i will be tackling that this weekend. I got my car used with some rubbermaid mats and they move all over the place.

tolerable

It's not THAT bad. Before you cut look for the premade cuts that Honda made. They act as sort of a guide.
