Dragging if rear seat has passengers?
Dragging if rear seat has passengers?
I own a 2007 fit sport and every time I have anyone in the back seat I hear a scraping noise going over bumps. My mom rides with me quite often and she probably weights 120 or so and I have nothing else in the car but there is a rubbing noise from the rear. Anyone else have this problem?
stock rims i assume?
Yes id take it to the dealer you should still be under warranty maybe your strut is blown.
Also if you look around the forums there are a few people who have replaced the back two struts with air shocks to stiffen it up for heavy loads. Could be an option if your strut is blown.

If your shock is bad, have someone ride beside ya on the hiway and if the wheel is bouncing like a ball ... it's bad.
I have some haters here about this, but what I did was install airshocks and increased the load cap. by 1500 lbs. Prob. the shocks are starting to give up.

Go back to early 2008 posts for replacing shocks with Monroe Air Lifts; works very well and on my Fit foir more than 20k miles.
That doesn't sound normal for sure. To add my experience, I've had my fit packed with 3 people in the back and some luggage a few times working out to around 4-500 pounds and the only problem I had was bottoming out hard over really sharp bumps like railway crossings, potholes etc.
Could possibly be some loose plastic or something hanging down rubbing on your wheel. have you looked underneath around the wheels?
How many miles on your fit? year?
unless a shock is defective they should last close to 200,000km depending on your driving. <at least thats what the service rep told me at my last service. My stock suspension is still good at 128,000km on my 08 fit sport.
