I have installed the vinyl overlays already because I still had my 6000k white fogs in, with those the yellow fogs were more of a whitish yellow than what I desired. Today I switched them with the new golden yellow hids 3000k, I was told that I could remove the vinyl and still get the color that I wanted with just the bulbs only. However, I left it on and installed the y/golden hids anyway and I found that the color is a lot more vibrant and shows more details of objects on the roadway. Where did you mount the ballasts for the HID? I am thinking about installing HID for my fog light but not sure where to mount the ballast. Also, where brand HID do you have? Thanks. Alex

 

Vinny, I think i saw you at wallmart couple days ago. I was the one reversin next to you when you was leavin. Fogs lookin clean, whered you the overlays? I got yellow fogs but it needs more yellow.

I mounted them behind the wheel well cover against the sub-frame. They are waterproof slimline's from HIDWORLDS. Have had absolutely nadda' single issue wit'um yet. Jus' let me know if you want the link.

Also, lemme know if you are interested in the tint for the foggies as well...it's the ''real deal'', won't melt to your lenses or give you that false yellow look. Some say the tint with the hid golden yellow's will cause a greening effect...well not with these!

I like keep'n it simple!!

I simply jacked my front up so I could sit down and apply the tint without removing or unscrewing anything. If you cut your oval (tint) a little larger than your opening ( lens ), then the edges can be pressed behind the housing while you are installing with a credit card. I simply cut 1/4 of an old card and used that for the outer edges because of the small area that you'll have to work in. You can use the bigger portion of the card to work your way out from the center. PM'n ya!
