Yeah, 800 is way low for cold start. Sounds like an ECT issue, but not a classic dead one (which would throw a code, light up the CEL, and have the engine running rich all the time). Does the "cold" light come on at all? If your obd reader is up to it, for sure see what engine temperature is reading after an overnight sit.

Weird that you still have problems. Are you sure they did the valve adjustment correctly? If it's not tight enough or too tight it'll cause problems. The symptoms of low idle and the car dying if not warmed up is valve adjustment signs from what I experienced.
