Aftermarket Molded Carpets?

Alright, I've noticed that everyone complains about the low quality 'carpet' that comes stock in Fits, yet when I search for people who have used aftermarket replacements, nothing comes up.

Has anyone actually done anything? Or is FF.net as a whole too lazy and just wants to complain and not do anything until someone else has figured out the issue?

Well I ripped up my carpet and did the diy lowe's route and I'll just say that the old carpet is going back in once I get a day off.

As far as what else is out there, there isn't anything that I've found that fits and/or works in our cars that I can willingly spare the cash for.

There wasn't anything the last 3 or 4 times i looked for replacements that had anything for the Fit. And that's that.

If you find something, let us know

I complained to my dealer about a hole worn in the carpet before my car was even a year old and got the carpet replaced under warranty---however I am sure it is the same type carpet. I did add Weathertech digitial mats and am more conscious about how I exit the car now--some of the wear was due to where I placed my foot when I "launched" myself from the vehicle--although no carpet should wear that soon.

I have not yet seen the 2012 models, but wonder if they improved the carpet along with the other interior changes.

Bump.

stockinteriors.com doesn't seem to want to help out on this front.

nobody makes a aftermarket replacement carpet. you can upholster carpet on top of the factory and make your own.

carpet fit?

Found this in JC Whitney. Not sure if this will actually fit a Fit. Has anyone tried it?

So would anyone like to try to set a group buy up for replacement carpet? Mine is getting pretty bad and I have to imagine many of us are facing the same issue.

Mine is already looking ratty in a GE, but it's kind of convincing me to just tear it out completely

Yeah I don't want to do that haha, I've lost all desire to make this anything more than a comfy DD.

Even my 2013 is looking kinda worn, even with OEM floor mats from near beginning of ownership.

My solution for cargo area was cutting up some unmarked welcome mats form Lowes.

They make $100-$150 carpets for older hondas that are offered everyday on ebay. I wonder when they will get a mold for fits....

i am also willing for a sturdy car carpet .. looking over the various spaces upon the web, yet i am not done with my selection as some were good in design then durability was on stake while others were opposite
