I'm in the process of LED'ing my GD8, and having seen pictures of the usual replacement for the dome light, I don't think I'll be satisfied with its brightness (only slightly greater than OEM).

Does anyone know if this one will fit inside the dome enclosure, or failing that, can recommend a particularly bright dome upgrade?

I put one of these in mine: 1 x White 12-SMD 1.25" DE3175 DE3022 LED Map Dome Light | eBay

It's considerably brighter than the stock bulb and since it fits in the bulb socket it only took a few seconds to install. I also put a brighter bulb in the cargo area.

 

Search for ACleanSC4 here. He sells a great kit that has all the dome lights and they make it like daylight in the car.
