Jazz Typhoon Food Victim

Jazz Typhoon Food Victim
I live in the Philippines, and recently purchased a 2006 Jazz A/T 1.5 VTEC. The add for the car included “ondoy victim”. Ondoy was the Typhoon that hit Manila in 2009. The asking price was $2,500 less than other 2006 Jazz listed for sale. This piqued my curiosity, so I went to have a look/see. To my surprize, the car appeared, and drove like it was brand new. I brought a friend with me, who has many years of experience buying and selling cars. We both took our time looking over the entire car. There were no visible signs of water damage. We did however find that the odometer was at a little over 2,000 kilometers. The owner of the car was out of the country, and his agent explained that the computer had been rechipped. I asked to bring it to a Honda dealership to have it checked out. The dealer checked over the car, and suggested changing the transmission fluid and the air conditioner filter.
All things considered, I negotiated a slightly lower price and bought the car. Since the purchase I had the head unit of the audio system replaced. During the installation I notice in the hole that the head unit came out of was a metal bar that had signs of rust.
I just wondered if anyone here has had, or knows someone with experience with a flooded car? Are there any surpizes I may encounter?
