Potential Jazz owner!

I am currently pottering around in a 1999 1.2 16v Punto Sporting, and even tho i love the thing, its causing me 2 much trouble, so i want to get rid. Luckily there is a couple who lives across the road from me who has 3 cars (2 people with 3 cars i dnt understand it either) Anyway, she is selling her Jazz next year, and im considering it. Its a 1.4 SE Automatic. I was wondering if there is anything i need to look at, any common problems with them, or are they as sweet as everyone tells me. It just sits there, and they hardly use it. I just dont want another car like i hav now, spending more time in the garage than on the road!

You change the oil and filter away you go. They are a total snack. If only everything else in life was so reliable.

Cool, so they are totally worth the money if you get one for a good price.

I think they are worth it even for the new price.

Its a shame you guys don't get the 1.5l vtec in the UK but there is certainly nothing wrong with the i-dsi.

Your better buying one now either new or on the 2nd hand market before the batches made in mainland China start arriving as I'd be doubtful if the quality remains the same. The Chinese ones won't adversely effect your resale value either as people will seek the previous cars and ask wether its a Chinese one or not much as they do now where there has been a change from Japanese made Jazzes to Thai made Jazzes.

Sounds as good as new and your better off with a 2004 1.4dsi than a new 1.2dsi.

They hardly use it, as it is there third car. I think they have it because they are keen cyclists, and a push bike wont fit in the back of a 2000 Honda Accord, or a 2004 Audi A4 Coveratble. But im so hoping i can afford to buy it off them, as they are sound cars, and i want to be proud of wat im driving, which isnt the case atm, a 1999 Punto Sporting, which spends most the time in the garage!
