Cat, cat, cat converter!
Hello all, would something like this make a difference? Getting short 4-2-1 headers and a better b pipe, already got the straight through muffler.

So the whole setup will be, Apexi dual funnel short ram air filter, s90 throttle body, 5zigen or Top speed 4-2-1 headers, high flow cat, a 2 inch b pipe, to a magnaflow straight through muffler, with all this should I see an improvement in response? I dont need top end speed, just more off the line response to the slug of an engine. To add to this, it has all new coil packs and iridium plugs. With eibach springs making it nice and firm.

For all the money you're spending on this stuff you could swap in a L15, IIRC you have the 1.3? Is it the DSI? If so, L15A1 would be a huge improvement.

At least here in the US you can find a "low mileage" used L15a1 for $500-600. Now, you will still need a different ECU and possibly a different harness, BUT, start with the engine that has more potential to begin with...
All of that money on those mods will effectively just make the car make more noise...

I am looking for more torque on my Fit, but am limited to "bolt on" mods for my racing class.
I have a 1.5. I also have a Hondata Flash Pro tuner for it. To even get ANY more torque for better response and acceleration I am working with a LONG tube 4-2-1 race header from Weapon R. It looks like this:
BUT, that has a whole host of other supporting modifications AND a full engine management re flash. EVEN with all of that, my realistic goal is still only around 110whp/100tq. Un less you turbo or put a cam in it, there really is not much more to extract from the L series...

With a high flow cat and full exhaust you will definitely be bringing your powerband up. You will gain from mid to top range. Around town you will be losing some torque and your car might feel a little slower. The gain (if you get a proper tune) with a full exhaust will be felt around higher rpm and on the freeway (topend speed).

I'm looking to add a high flow cat to my HKS turbo and it will add some pretty decent power to the Fit.
Good luck on your build Maty
